Strong fleet line-up for Australian Women's Keelboat Regatta

Southerly Regatta enjoys glorious conditions

New Zealand allows unendorsed IRC certificates

First medals awarded at ISAF Sailing World Cup regatta

The first medal race of the Delta Lloyd Regatta - the fifth leg of the ISAF Sailing World Cup, the 470 Mens event was won by the French pair Pierre Leboucher and Vincent Garos, with the local Dutch duo of Sven Coster-Kalle Coster in claiming silver and Argentina's Lucas Calabrese-Juan de la Feunte bronze. Thrills and spills at Southerly regatta

St Peter Port welcomed 26 Southerly yachts to Guernsey for the annual spring regatta, which ran over the bank holiday weekend from May 24-28.

The Southerlys had travelled from as far afield as the East Coast and all points along the South Coast for the event, and were joined by local sailors Adrian and Pennie Heyworth, sailing their new Southerly 42RST, Maid Honor. Four days of racing included heavy weather contests around Sark and Herm, organised by the Guernsey YC. Read more . . .

Perfect sailing conditions on third day of the Delta Lloyd Regatta

Robert Scheidt and Bruno Prada (BRA) lead the Stars
In both of today’s Star races Robert Scheidt and Bruno Prada (BRA) along with Mark Mendelblatt and Mark Strube (USA) were among the few boats that broke away from the fleet and battled for the gun at the finish line. Melbourne to host ISAF Sailing World Cup

Melbourne will host the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) Sailing World Cup – Sail Melbourne for the next three years, thanks to a funding commitment from the Victorian State Government.

Sports and Recreation Minister the Hon. James Merlino revealed the news at the newly redeveloped Sandringham Yacht Club last week - the announcement cementing Melbourne as Australia’s Olympic class sailing capital. Read more . . .

Outteridge and Jensen claim first World Cup victory aboard 49er

Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen led the way for the Australian Sailing Team in the 49er class on day two of the Delta Lloyd Regatta with their first ISAF Grade One race victory together.

Outteridge and Jensen clearly enjoyed the more favourable sailing conditions with their fifth and ninth places combining with victory in race five to see them finish the day in ninth overall. Read more . . .


Pete Goss at Savills Regatta

The third annual Savills Regatta hosted by Savills and Mylor Yacht Club took place on Monday, May 18. Forty teams had entered but unfortunately some were deterred by the blustery 25-30 knot south westerly winds. In fact the 23 teams had an excellent race with the occasional drama for some on the spinnaker legs and there were a number of exciting finishes. Read more . . .


College of Charleston women place 2nd in nationals
