Although The King's Cup International Sailing Regatta attracts crews from the likes of New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia and many other countries with well known sailors such as Sail Maker Neil Pryde with his yacht High Fly and Hong Kong Businessman Frank Pong with his monster yacht Jelik, there are also many other local, regional and international crews and yachts that take part in this yearly event. Dubbed "The Fun Regatta", The Phang Nga Bay Sailing Regatta is held in beautiful Phang Nga Bay on the east coast of Phuket and does a circle past Krabi and Phi Phi Don Island at the end of January or the beginning of February (it's held at Chinese New Year). Royal Langkawi International Sailing Regatta
The Royal Langkawi International Regatta has been going from strength to strength since it's inception in 2003, with yacht racers coming from as far as France and Belgium.
The regatta is enjoyed by international racing crews as well as cruising yachtsmen who may be in the area whilst doing a circumnavigation of the globe. The event is over 5 days with extreme competition from all the crews on the water. If you happen to have a brief moment of inaction aboard you will be able to take in the some of beautiful islands that make up the 99 magical islands around Langkawi, Malaysia.
